About The Position

AECOM is seeking a highly talented, self-driven and motivated Senior Project Manager- Transit Rail to be based in the NY NJ Metro area working in the NY Metro Transit Rail Project and Design Management group. This role involves performing management responsibilities on design of transit rail projects in the NY Metro area. The Senior Project Manager will manage a multi-discipline design team to produce high quality design deliverables, meet schedules and stay within project budgets. Responsibilities include administering the design phase of the project from budgeting/schedule stage through procurement, coordinating construction phase services for both design-build and design-bid-build projects, and coordinating closely with clients, contractors, and project partners. Project types include Design-Build, Development of Bridging Documents, and Design-Bid-Build. The role also involves responding to client issued RFQ and RFPs, providing guidance to marketing for Transit Rail pursuits, and acting as a pursuit manager on proposals for NY Metro Transit Rail clients, as well as assisting with strategy on pursuits and overall client approach.

Requirements

• BA/BS + 10 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education, including 2 years of leadership
• Must have Transit Experience
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills

Nice To Haves

• 15 Years of Experience with NY metro rail agencies including MTA, PA/NY/NJ and NJ Transit
• 10 Years of Experience in Design Project Management Role
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills
