About The Position

Senior PM who is experienced in leading small to medium size projects essential to support strategic initiatives with multiple work streams, vendors, and partners to achieve organizational goals. Ensures executing projects within triple constraints i.e. Scope/Time/Budget and well experienced in agile as well as traditional methodology. Eager to bring positive change, suggesting innovative, practical solutions to problems and managing projects across domains (technical/business). Willing take up challenges & managing projects involving new technologies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Business, or a related IT discipline required
  • 8+ years of relevant experience managing and delivering large scale projects with minimum 5 years in an Agile and SAFe environment
  • Must be proficient with Agile Lifecycle Management tools (e.g., Microsoft Azure DevOps and Jira) as well as with presentation tools (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), etc.
  • Excellent knowledge of Agile and Scrum with experience in coaching, mentoring and coaching junior Agile practitioners
  • Experience participating in and facilitating discussions to discover solutions, capturing, and transforming business and technology requirements
  • Exceptional problem-solving and troubleshooting skills with demonstrated experience exercising mature judgment in delicate situations
  • Demonstrated relationship management skills at the senior level with the capacity to quickly build and maintain credible relationships at varying levels of the organization
  • Should have leadership experience with the ability to earn trust while challenging the team to improve and operate outside its comfort zone
  • Thought leadership and influencer to help providing a technology vision to enable business strategies.
  • Self-starter that enjoys and thrives in connecting people and technology to solve complex problems at-scale
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills along with excellent analytical and reasoning skills
  • Ability to be collaborative with individuals from diverse disciplines to optimize results
  • Experience implementing best practices and standards related to Agile scrum development & testing practices

Nice To Haves

  • Scrum Master/PMP Certification is strongly preferred.
  • SAFe agile certification would be desirable
  • Insurance and healthcare industry knowledge is recommended

Responsibilities

  • Strong skills in relationship building and Project Management, Planning, Presentations at various level (team, management, executive leadership)
  • Manage projects with agile as well as traditional methodology
  • Experience of executing risk strategy (RAID Log) and strong stakeholders assessment/management (internal and external)
  • Facilitates the definition of project scope, goals and deliverables, and success criteria
  • Establishes the Project Charter, defines project tasks and resource requirements
  • Develops full scale project plans and develops and manages project timelines
  • Scope Management – Aware of techniques to manage scope for projects to successful completion
  • Manages project budgets with guidelines set by upper management
  • Develops implementation and rollout plans
  • Works with Information Systems and Development management to ensure proper staffing post-implementation
  • Strong vendor management skills involving various system vendors and SI partners
  • Maximize learning during and after the project’s execution seeking delivery team/stakeholder feedback and implement any corrective actions to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Other duties as defined by management, including RFI and RFP development and evaluation; vendor and partner management
  • Facilitate transparent communication within and among work streams.
  • Identify work stream cross dependencies, document and use them to actively manage project schedule and critical path
  • Track project progress against base-lined budget, schedule & CBA.
  • Work with program team to resolve or escalate any variations
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills, particularly the ability to think creatively and innovatively.
  • Accountability for deliverables within agreed priorities and deadlines, as well as being able to work as part of a team and contribute to team work plans.
  • Assembles and coordinates project staff, both technical and non-technical
  • Coordinates the activities of internal and external staff to assure effective execution of project activities.
  • Creates and maintains comprehensive project documentation, including project plans
  • Manages project resource allocation and tracks project deliverables
  • Reports project status to management on a regular basis, and escalates issues as needed to ensure successful outcomes
  • Provides direction and support to the project team
  • Assists with required quality assurance activities to ensure successful deliverables.
  • Monitors and reports on progress of projects to stakeholders
  • Works with Quality Assurance team to assure results of deliverables meet accuracy standards and facilitates User Acceptance Testing)
  • Assumes additional responsibilities as needed
