The Mission The Leidos team delivers the core backbone of the Service, Management, Integration and Transport (SMIT) program, including cybersecurity services, network operations, service desk, and data transport. Leidos will support network modernization efforts to provide Sailors, Marines and the civilian workforce with the tools they need to be more efficient at increasing naval capabilities and further empowering the Navy Marine Corps team to compete and win. Your Main Objective: Lead the design, development, customization, and implementation of enterprise SharePoint solutions (SharePoint Online and/or on-prem), including portals, workflows, and integrated applications. Architect scalable SharePoint environments leveraging modern development frameworks (SPFx, Power Platform, REST APIs, .NET). Define project scope, technical architecture, implementation plans, and lifecycle deliverables, including cost estimates and deployment timelines. Provide technical leadership in establishing SharePoint development standards, governance models, and best practices. Design and implement advanced solutions using Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, and custom SharePoint Framework (SPFx) components. Integrate SharePoint with enterprise systems (e.g., Microsoft 365 services, Azure, SQL Server, and third-party tools such as DocAve, CorasWorks, iOra). Lead migration, modernization, and optimization efforts (e.g., legacy SharePoint to SharePoint Online, content restructuring, performance tuning). Establish and enforce governance, security, and compliance standards aligned with information assurance and cybersecurity requirements. Oversee performance monitoring, capacity planning, and system health for SharePoint environments. Troubleshoot complex issues across development, infrastructure, and integration layers; provide root cause analysis and corrective actions. Mentor and guide junior developers and engineers in SharePoint development, DevSecOps practices, and modern Microsoft ecosystem tools. Support proposal efforts and technical solutioning for new business opportunities related to collaboration and knowledge management platforms.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
  • 10–12+ years of IT experience with extensive SharePoint development and architecture experience
  • Strong expertise in: SharePoint Online / 2016/2019
  • SPFx (SharePoint Framework), JavaScript/TypeScript
  • Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI)
  • Microsoft 365 ecosystem (Teams, OneDrive, Azure AD)
  • REST APIs, CSOM/JSOM, .NET
  • Experience with SharePoint governance, security, and compliance frameworks
  • Experience with migration and administration tools (e.g., DocAve, iOra, ShareGate)
  • US Citizen with an active DoD Secret Clearance
  • IAT Level II Certification
  • NGEN
