About The Position

Jeppesen ForeFlight is seeking a Senior Project Manager, Implementations to lead complex, customer-facing implementation and migration projects across its legacy and next-generation flight planning products. This includes the JetPlan Engine platform migration program, which moves customers from unsupported legacy hardware and operating systems to current, supported infrastructure. The role reports to the Senior Manager, Professional Services Implementation & Deployment. The Senior Project Manager owns end-to-end planning, scheduling, and delivery of multi-workstream projects, coordinating with Development, Deployment Specialists, Quality Assurance, Support, and customer technical teams. The role ensures complex production flight-planning systems are migrated safely, with careful attention to schedules, risks, dependencies, cutover planning, and customer communication. The position may involve managing several migrations concurrently, coordinating occasional customer-site travel, and supporting post-go-live stabilization and handoff to ongoing support.

Requirements

At least 5 years of project management experience delivering complex technical implementation or migration projects, ideally including production system cutovers.
Experience managing multi-stakeholder projects spanning internal engineering or deployment teams and external customer technical teams.
Strong technical aptitude and the ability to understand infrastructure migration concepts, such as legacy operating-system-to-Linux migrations, well enough to plan and sequence work; a software engineering background is not required.
Experience with Salesforce or a comparable CRM or project-tracking tool.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presenting project status to technical teams and executive stakeholders.
Strong critical-thinking and risk-management skills, including the ability to identify and mitigate schedule and technical risks early.
Willingness to learn and apply AI-powered tools to accelerate project tracking, status reporting, and cross-team coordination.
Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and prioritize independently.

Nice To Haves

PMP or comparable project-management certification.
Experience in airline operations, flight dispatch, or aviation technology.
Experience coordinating international, multi-time-zone customer implementations.
Background in client or account management, including translating customer needs into a project plan.
Comfort working across time zones with international customers.
Prior hands-on experience with AI tools.

Responsibilities

Own project planning, scheduling, and status reporting for complex implementation and migration projects from kickoff through go-live and early production-support handoff.
Build and maintain detailed project plans, RAID logs, and cutover/go-live runbooks for each migration.
Coordinate Development, Deployment Specialists, Quality Assurance, and Support to sequence and de-risk cutover activities for production systems with limited tolerance for downtime.
Track project status in Salesforce and keep stakeholders and leadership informed about schedules, risks, and blockers.
Lead recurring customer-facing and internal status meetings, translating technical migration details into clear updates for technical and executive stakeholders.
Coordinate go-live and cutover events with customer technical teams, including scheduling maintenance windows and validating post-cutover system health.
Identify and escalate schedule, resource, or technical risks early, and drive mitigation plans to completion.
Support post-go-live stabilization and a clean handoff to ongoing support.
Partner with Product, Support, and other internal teams to resolve issues and escalations arising during a migration.
Travel to customer sites occasionally as needed.
