General Job Description: The Senior Project Manager is responsible for developing a client base while managing large-scale construction projects from inception to successful completion. This role involves the strategic management of field labor in conjunction with field leadership. The Senior Project Manager serves as the primary point of contact for the business and the customer, ensuring projects are delivered on budget and meet all contractual obligations. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Project Management The Senior Project Manager is the single source responsibility to the company and the customer. Partners with other project managers to successfully execute prime scopes of work. Perform all project management functions required to promote and finalize sales including concept engineering, complete estimates, written proposals, direct meetings, to successful job completion. Successful management of contracts, including sales, estimating, procurement, and execution Oversight of field labor and installation sequencing between the customer and the company's field leadership. Utilize internal resources to the fullest extent necessary to meet the customer requirements. Manages and supervises employees assigned to the project to achieve the project vision and the contracted scope aligned with customer requirements. Project Finance Forecasting, prepare budget projection, and cost control within agreed-upon limits. Provide letters, proposals, memos, contracts, change orders, strategies, etc. for good business procedures and legal protection. Billing, knowing job costs Relationship Management External – leadership of client meetings and development of contracts to finalize sales. Maintain cordial relationships with all clients, including vendors, subcontractors, and the industry. Internal – Provide supervision, leadership and coordination of all departmental efforts including Engineering, Purchasing, Accounting, Construction and Service during project construction in a timely manner. Contribute and be part of special studies, committees, etc. to advance the company’s ACCO’s technical abilities in engineering, planning and estimating, installation procedures, etc. Effective Communication Consult with appropriate personnel, including all Management and Department Heads. Attend all Project Management Sales and Construction Meetings. Schedule and coordinate pre-construction job meetings with department heads and supervisors. Mentoring Act as a mentor to others, actively participate in recruiting, training, and coaching of sales staff to support department initiatives and growth. Other Duties Other duties and special assignments as directed by upper management to accomplish mutually agreed upon goals.
