TRC is seeking a Senior Project Manager - FERC to join our Planning, Permitting and Licensing practice within the Southeast Region. This role will support a growing Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) practice. The ideal candidate will manage environmental reports and complex field and desktop assessments for 7c/b traditional and pre-filing projects, blanket prior notices, and permitting for natural gas operation and maintenance projects. Responsibilities include attending technical conferences, showcasing services, enhancing TRC’s brand, engaging with clients, and representing OneTRC. The role also involves maintaining quality and profitability on projects, assisting with managing and developing the skillsets of Project Managers and other employees, and leading FERC and other oil and gas/energy transition midstream solicitation requests. The Senior Project Manager will successfully manage medium to large-scale, often multi-disciplinary projects, maintain productive working relationships with clients, and lead environmental planning pertaining to the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) to facilitate project advancement. This includes preparation of Environmental Assessments and Environmental Impact Statements. The role also entails leading permitting efforts with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) for wetland/stream delineations, Clean Water Act (CWA) Section 404 permitting, and Endangered Species Act (ESA) habitat assessments, as well as leading state and local permitting efforts. Mentoring and coaching staff on technical delivery, quality, and project financials is also a key aspect. This individual will be responsible for selling environmental planning and permitting services for midstream oil and gas clients and, when feasible, selling all of TRC’s Sector Services (Environmental, Power, Infrastructure, and Field Services). An average of 25% of work time may involve out-of-town travel.
