About The Position

STV is seeking a Senior Project Manager / Senior Construction Manager to join our PM/CM team in Austin, TX and help deliver impactful K-12 educational facility improvement and modernization programs. This is a high-visibility opportunity to lead active design and construction projects that directly support students, educators, and local communities. In this role, you will serve as a trusted owner’s representative and construction management partner, working closely with clients, contractors, school staff, design teams, public agencies, and community stakeholders. The ideal candidate brings strong field leadership, construction administration knowledge, and the ability to keep complex projects moving forward in occupied campus environments.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Architecture, , or a related field preferred; equivalent construction or design background may also be considered.
• 5–10 years in design or construction management or a related role supporting commercial, institutional, public-sector, or K-12 educational facility projects.
• Background working as an owner’s representative within a design/construction environment preferred.
• Strong communication, client relationship, problem-solving, and stakeholder coordination skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, multi-project environment while representing STV with professionalism, sound judgment, and accountability.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and construction/project management software platforms.

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with City of Austin permitting, inspections, and agency coordination.
• Background serving as an owner’s representative or supporting public-sector clients in a construction management capacity.
• Previous coordination with Austin Energy, Austin Water, Austin Transportation and Public Works, Texas Gas Service, or similar agencies and utility providers.
• Proven ability to manage renovation, modernization, or capital improvement projects in occupied facilities.
• A track record supporting K-12 bond programs, educational facilities, institutional campuses, or public-sector capital improvement programs.
• Registered Architect, PE, or related professional registration is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day design and construction management activities across multiple active projects and campus sites.
• Act as a primary point of coordination between the client, contractors, design teams, campus representatives, agencies, and project stakeholders.
• Communicate professionally with school administrators, staff, students, parents, contractors, inspectors, and members of the public.
• Monitor construction progress, contractor performance, schedule adherence, quality expectations, and overall field coordination.
• Identify potential field issues early, document progress, and help drive timely resolution of non-conformance items.
• Prepare thorough daily reports capturing construction progress, observations, site activities, issues, and follow-up items.
• Participate in preconstruction meetings, progress meetings, coordination meetings, punch list reviews, and closeout activities.
• Review construction documents, submittals, RFIs, schedules, and field conditions for general conformance with project requirements.
• Support schedule tracking, quantity review, budget awareness, documentation control, and proactive issue management.
• Help manage construction activities in occupied, operational campus environments while minimizing disruption to school operations.
• Coordinate with utility providers, inspectors, local agencies, third-party consultants, vendors, and specialty contractors as needed.
