As a Senior Project Manager – Data Center Power Delivery within our Pre-Construction Services group, you’ll serve as a strategic advisor to data center developers during the most critical phases of project development. This role focuses on pre-construction planning, energy feasibility, risk identification, and core project management for the late stage development of complex, energy-intensive infrastructure projects.

Requirements

  • You have a "Do what needs to be done" mindset, taking ownership beyond assigned tasks and stepping in wherever needed to keep projects, teams, and customers supported and running smoothly.
  • You have 7+ years of experience managing complex infrastructure or energy projects, with a strong emphasis on pre-construction and front-end planning preferred.
  • You have experience evaluating and planning large-scale power delivery and generation infrastructure.
  • You’re highly organized and comfortable managing multiple workstreams with competing priorities.
  • You have a strong understanding of construction means and methods sufficient to inform constructability, cost and schedule decision during pre-construction.
  • You have excellent analytical, communication and presentation skills

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with creating and managing complex schedules (Microsoft Project, P6 etc.)
  • Strong familiarity with Project Management systems (i.e. SAP, Procore etc.)
  • Strong analytical skills related to market trends, pricing, and supply chain risk.
  • You have experience working as an owner’s representative, for a developer, a utility or other relevant organizations.

Responsibilities

  • Lead pre-construction planning efforts for data center energy delivery projects on behalf of developer clients.
  • Support site selection and due diligence activities with a focus on power availability, utility capacity, interconnection pathways, and development risk.
  • Develop and evaluate conceptual energy delivery strategies including substations, transmission and distribution infrastructure, on-site generation, and resiliency solutions.
  • Prepare and validate early-stage cost models, budgets, schedules, and phasing plans for complex energy and infrastructure scopes.
  • Coordinate with utilities, grid operators, permitting agencies, and AHJs to assess feasibility, timelines, and constraints.
  • Lead constructability reviews and risk assessments to identify early challenges related to scope, logistics, permitting, and market conditions.
  • Advise clients on delivery models (EPC, design-build, phased packages, early works) and procurement strategies.
  • Review conceptual and schematic designs to ensure alignment with project goals, scalability, and long-term energy strategies.
  • Develop decision-support materials, executive briefings, and recommendations to guide investment and development milestones.
  • Support transition from pre-construction into construction by defining scopes, bid packages, and execution plans.
  • Assist late-stage permitting efforts with selected EPC’s on behalf of the owner.
