About The Position

Kimley-Horn has an opportunity for a motivated Senior Project Manager to expand and lead our Power Delivery practice in Charlotte, NC! The successful candidate will lead a practice specializing in Power Delivery (transmission, substation, and/or power studies) engineering services. This individual will have an entrepreneurial spirit and create a vision for growth for a Power Delivery practice while growing their own projects, clients, and team around them. Coordinate or direct development, energy assessment, engineering, or construction activities to ensure that the project needs and objectives are met.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of relevant experience managing wind energy or related projects
  • Registered Professional Engineer (P.E.) license
  • Familiar with the relevant standards, regulations, and best practices for wpower delivery projects
  • Extensive client contacts and relationships with local architects, developers, land use attorneys, planners and/or land owners
  • Strong technical skills in AutoCAD Civil3D, Excel, and/or GIS
  • Business development and marketing experience including writing proposals, scopes of work, and budgeting for projected work
  • Ability to effectively communicate positively at all levels of the organization
  • Ability to manage & mentor staff, and direct resources effectively in a positive manner
  • Demonstrated ability to manage land development projects profitably
