Senior Project Engineer - Poland Project
About The Position
As a Senior Project Engineer, you will support project-related tasks to ensure that planning, design, implementation, and completion meet the commercial and contractual requirements of the Poland AP1000 Project. You will provide technical direction for engineering activities, including defining and coordinating design implementation and coordinating program-plan tasks. You will also support continuous improvement approaches aligned with Westinghouse’s mission, values, and goals. This is a mobile/hybrid role based in Cranberry, Pennsylvania, with international travel required to support development of the Poland Project.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of experience in engineering roles (project, manufacturing, or quality) within nuclear, defense, or regulated industries.
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering.
- Ability to travel internationally to support the Poland Project.
- Familiarity with technical requirement management.
- Familiarity with nuclear industry standards, rules, regulations, best practices, and performance standards.
- Ability to work on projects involving multiple disciplines.
- Project management skills.
Nice To Haves
- Prior knowledge of Westinghouse AP1000.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and monitor assigned engineering projects, contractual tasks, and related deliverables.
- Assist the Project Manager with change-control processes, including additional-scope requests and variation orders.
- Work with external parties and team members to interpret needs and determine how to meet commercial and technical requirements.
- Support execution of assigned tasks and mentor novice engineers.
- Partner with the Project Manager and other project and technical functional disciplines.
- Review and support delivery of engineering deliverables and initiate appropriate corrective actions.
- Provide technical direction for engineering activities, including defining and coordinating design implementation and coordinating program-plan tasks.
- Support continuous improvement approaches consistent with Westinghouse’s mission, values, and goals.
