About The Position

The Senior Project Engineer – Sensors Testing Engineering will lead technical project execution by managing scope, schedules, budgets, quality, and risk to ensure successful delivery. In this role, you will use performance metrics and Earned Value methods to drive continuous improvement, provide status updates to leadership, and develop engineering estimates and proposals to support new projects and organizational alignment.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience.
  • 4+ years of Electrical, Mechanical, Software, or Systems engineering experience.
  • 4+ years of project management experience.
  • Fundamental project management skills including baseline control, earned value, and risk management.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Responsibilities

  • Lead project technical execution and maintain performance metrics for decision making and continuous improvement purposes.
  • Manage project scope (requirements and change requests) ensuring it meets agreed to commitments.
  • Generate and maintain project schedules with understood dependencies, deliveries, and critical path.
  • Utilize Earned Value (EV) methods for managing project budget (and schedule).
  • Ensure project meets quality expectations.
  • Identify risks and opportunities and resolve them through proactive ownership.
  • Prepare well-crafted presentations reporting project status to leadership teams.
  • Develop Engineering estimates and proposals for potential projects and gaining organizational buy-in.
