We are seeking a Senior Project Controls Manager to join our team in San Francisco, CA. Your role will involve managing staff coordination and workload, and directly supervising and mentoring the Project Controls team as a subject matter expert. You will manage, revise, and maintain the status of detailed project cost estimates and forecasts, including all phases of project execution from design/engineering, material and equipment procurement, construction contracts, start-up activities, and project closeout. The role requires tracking and analyzing project costs, including budgets, commitments, actuals, accruals, and forecasts using Earned Value Management (EVM) methodology. You will perform forecast and variance analysis (cost and schedule), trend analysis, risk analysis, contingency reserve evaluation, and maintain issue logs. Additionally, you will participate in the development and continuous improvement of project controls systems, recommend improvements to project controls systems, tools, methods, and project management practices, and establish project Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) in accordance with industry best practices. You will also assist in analyzing project controls requirements during the bid review process, interact with project teams regarding cost codes, purchase order commitments, and change orders, and assist in creating detailed project budgets from estimates and developing cash flow projections. Working with senior project management staff, you will manage overall project cost control efforts and collaborate with scheduling staff to develop, manage, revise, and update integrated project schedules. You will assist in the early identification of long-lead items, resource constraints, and required project start dates, manage key project performance indicators and project commercial reporting, and manage internal job costing related to project fees, scope of services, resource requirements, job numbers, Project Status Reports (PSRs), and company reporting policies. Producing forecasts of total project costs, annual costs, and monthly cash flow costs, including variance analysis and supporting explanations, is also a key responsibility. You will manage the Risk Management process, including the identification, evaluation, mitigation, monitoring, and control of project risks, and assist in coordinating engineering and construction activities to align with overall project schedule requirements. Incorporating engineering and construction contractor schedules into the overall project schedule and working with senior project management staff to ensure all contract deliverables and deadlines are achieved are crucial. The role provides senior-level project management support, including financial and operational budgeting, forecasting, consolidation, analysis, business development, pricing, billing, and client/consultant relationship management. Other duties as assigned by the Supervisor will also be part of the role.
