About The Position

Kent is looking for a Senior Project Controller to support a portfolio group of projects in Corpus Christi, TX. The Project Controls Specialist will play a crucial role in supporting multiple high-volume projects by providing comprehensive project control services, including cost management, scheduling, and progress measurement. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in EPC projects, exceptional analytical skills, and the ability to handle the demands of a complex project portfolio.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Construction Management, Business, or related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in project controls, preferably within an EPC environment.
  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Primavera P6, Microsoft Project) and cost control tools.
  • Strong understanding of cost management, scheduling, and progress measurement.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Experience in the oil & gas, petrochemical sectors.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Ability to clearly communicate cost performance, risks, and forecasts to project stakeholders.
  • Comfortable working in fast-paced, multi-disciplinary project environments.
  • High level of accuracy, organization, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within project teams.
  • Demonstrates accountability, professionalism, and a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Observe the Health, Safety, Sustainability, Environment and Quality rules of the Company; it’s clients and the governing authorities of the host country.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of Power BI for data visualization and reporting is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and manage project schedules, ensuring timely and accurate updates.
  • Track and report project progress, ensuring alignment with project goals and timelines.
  • Manage project costs, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Provide detailed cost and schedule analysis to support decision-making processes.
  • Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Prepare and present progress reports, dashboards, and metrics to senior management and project teams.
  • Identify and mitigate potential risks related to cost and schedule.
  • Support invoice development and review to ensure accurate billing and cost tracking.
  • Facilitate communication between various project teams to ensure project objectives are met.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of project controls processes and procedures.
  • Perform other ad-hoc tasks as needed or directed by the supervisor or management, within the reasonable scope of the employee's skills, capabilities, and role.
