H2O is hiring a Senior Programmer, Automation and Controls for its Ramsey, Minnesota office. This is a permanent, full-time position with flexible working hours and a hybrid work arrangement. The role involves programming and supporting automated control systems, including PLCs and HMIs, designing system logic and interfaces, testing and deploying installations at client sites, and preparing technical documentation for clients.

Requirements

Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role.
Proficiency in PLC programming software.
Experience developing, modifying, and troubleshooting PLC programs using Structured Text (ST).
Ability to write clear technical documents.
Skill in designing user-friendly graphic interfaces.
Ability to diagnose and resolve problems.
Thorough understanding of hardware and software upgrade methods for automated systems.
Communication skills.
Ability to communicate in English both orally and in writing.
Competence in planning and executing comprehensive system tests.

Responsibilities

Program PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers) and user graphic interfaces (HMI).
Design and develop control system logic using Structured Text (ST).
Participate in analyzing user needs and developing programming plans.
Design automated systems through technical drawings and schematics.
Conduct testing and market deployment of programmed installations at clients' sites.
Create user guides, technical manuals, and other tools to help clients understand automated systems.
Perform upgrades and troubleshoot automated systems as needed.
