Senior Program Manager

JLLWashington, DC
$120,000 - $140,000Onsite

About The Position

JLL's Public Institutions group is seeking a Senior Program Manager to serve as a senior team leader on their advisory engagement supporting the Office of the Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Housing (ODASD(H)). This is a high-visibility, high-impact role at the center of one of the federal government's most complex real estate programs — the Military Housing Privatization Initiative (MHPI), a $32 billion portfolio spanning 87 active projects across 150 military installations nationwide. Reporting directly to the SVP / Account Director, you will serve as deputy program manager / account director — owning team performance, deliverable quality, and day-to-day program operations. The work reaches the most senior levels of DOD leadership, and the precision and polish of every product delivered reflects that standard.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline (business, finance, public policy, real estate, or related field); advanced degree a plus
  • 8+ years of professional experience in federal advisory services, real estate finance, program management, DOD/defense housing, or a related field; exceptional candidates with fewer years and a demonstrated track record will be considered
  • Experience advising senior government clients, with the ability to communicate clearly and credibly to executive-level audiences
  • Strong written communication skills — you understand what "client-ready" means and hold yourself and your team to that standard
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage competing priorities, and deliver under pressure
  • US citizenship required
  • Active DOD Secret clearance required (or ability to obtain)

Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a team of junior and mid-level analysts, ensuring consistent quality, professional development, and accountability
  • Serve as the primary QA/QC lead, reviewing all major deliverables before they reach the client — briefings, memoranda, reports, and presentations tailored for senior level DOD leadership, and Congressional audiences
  • Anticipate client needs, complete analysis proactively, and bring forward recommendations without being asked
  • Participate directly in senior-level client meetings and represent JLL in high-stakes engagements with DOD and interagency stakeholders
  • Provide subject matter expertise across real estate finance, federal program management, and/or policy analysis
  • Keep DOD leadership and stakeholders informed of relevant developments and program status
  • Support business development activities including RFP responses and new initiative identification
  • Foster a collaborative, high-performing team culture aligned with JLL's values

Benefits

  • 401(k) plan with matching company contributions
  • Comprehensive Medical, Dental & Vision Care
  • Paid parental leave at 100% of salary
  • Paid Time Off and Company Holidays
  • Early access to earned wages through Daily Pay
