About The Position

The Office of Career and Internship Programs seeks a collaborative and results-driven professional to lead and expand the CUNY MTA internship program. Reporting to the Director of Public Sector Internships, the Senior Program Manager will lead the development and growth of university-wide CUNY MTA internship program. This role will focus on contract, program and budget management, including marketing, recruiting and scaling of the program to ensure these internship opportunities reach as many students as possible. The Senior Program Manager will work closely with campuses, employer partners, and other stakeholders to align the program with workforce needs and increase access to high-quality, career-connected learning experiences.

Requirements

  • Minimum three (3) years of relevant experience.
  • Proactive, diplomatic and collaborative work style with strong interpersonal communication, relationship building and presentation skills to work effectively with stakeholders.
  • Dependable with effective organizational, time management and priority setting skills to manage multiple assignments and projects and meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced and high-volume work environment.
  • Demonstrated computer skills and experience with standard desktop tools (e.g., MS Office, Zoom).
  • Ability to travel to multiple sites throughout NYC.
  • Bachelor's degree required.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day administration of program, ensuring effective program delivery, operational excellence, compliance, stakeholder management and high-quality student experiences, including: Coordinate onboarding, payroll, and timekeeping processes for interns in collaboration with CUNY and RF CUNY teams. Track intern hours, address payroll inquiries, and support compliance with HR processes. Lead or assist with information sessions, meetings, and stakeholder communications. Provide high-quality customer service to students, partner agencies, and CUNY staff.
  • Create and manage program budgets, fiscal planning, contracts, and financial reporting, coordinating with university and external fiscal partners to ensure compliance, and adherence to grant and funding requirements.
  • Perform analysis, develop reporting of program data to evaluate performance, measure student and employer outcomes, campus engagement and participation, and identify opportunities for operational and programmatic improvement.
  • Develop and manage marketing and promotion of the program, including hosting information sessions to ensure maximum participation from CUNY students.
  • Perform regular check-ins with interns, employer partners through meetings and surveys.
  • Perform other related duties and special projects as needed.
