About The Position

Northern Trust is seeking a Senior Program Manager for their Transformation Office. This role will lead enterprise-scale transformation initiatives, focusing on shaping the future of Wealth Management and Northern Trust. The Transformation Office drives strategic transformation across the enterprise, partnering with senior leaders to translate strategy into measurable business outcomes. The team focuses on transforming Wealth Management through complex initiatives in strategy, operating model design, data and AI, technology, and change management. The goal is to reimagine client service, empower employees, and drive growth through strategic execution, innovation, and disciplined delivery.

Requirements

  • Proven ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams without direct reporting authority.
  • Deep expertise in program and project management disciplines, including delivery in complex, regulated environments.
  • Strong understanding of how strategy translates into operational execution.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex concepts and influence senior stakeholders.
  • High adaptability and effectiveness in fast-moving, ambiguous environments.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • 10–15+ years of program or project management experience, preferably in financial services.
  • Demonstrated success leading large, complex, cross-functional programs with moderate to high risk and visibility.
  • Financial services experience required.

Responsibilities

  • Lead enterprise-scale programs with multiple projects and workstreams impacting enterprise-wide transformation initiatives and cross-functional partners.
  • Own program scope, timelines, budgets, risks, dependencies, and delivery milestones from initiation through implementation.
  • Drive execution of initiatives supporting strategic change and expansion of critical business capabilities.
  • Align resources across business, technology, data, operations, risk, and other partners to achieve program objectives.
  • Facilitate governance forums and prepare executive-level status updates, risk assessments, and decision materials.
  • Track progress against defined business outcomes and benefits realization targets.
  • Apply strong analytical judgment to solve complex problems and recommend practical, scalable solutions.
