About The Position

Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Senior Program Manager 3. This position will be located in Roy, Utah. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package. The Flight Systems Futures operating unit within Strategic Deterrent Systems is seeking highly motivated talent to join a team at the forefront of next-generation hypersonic capabilities. Our team focuses on the design, development, and demonstration of hypersonic re-entry vehicles and advanced payloads, with an emphasis on rapid development and prototyping aligned to specific customer missions. Requirements

Bachelor’s degree and 8 years of related experience, OR a Master’s degree and 6 years of related experience
Must be a U.S citizen and have an active U.S. Government DoD Top Secret security clearance within scope with an ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP)
At least 6 years of experience leading a Program / Projects and driving performance against a schedule.
Experience in project management/ execution and closeout
Experience with Earned Value Management (EV) in an applicable system

Responsibilities

Directing all phases of program from inception through completion
Responsibility for the cost, schedule and technical performance of tooling programs
Acting as customer contact for program activities, leading program review sessions with customer to discuss cost, schedule, and technical performance
Establishing milestones and monitors adherence to master plans and schedules, identifies program problems and obtains solutions, such as allocation of resources or changing contractual specifications
Directing the work of employees assigned to the program from technical, manufacturing and administrative areas
Collaborating across program and functional teams and ensure on-time execution
Identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks (e.g. technical, cost, schedule, legal, security) and maintaining risk register and ensuring corrective actions are tracked and closed
Strategically managing NCTA budgets (B&P and M&S) with financial rigor and predictability
