As a Senior Production Technician, you will be responsible for setting up and operating equipment and processes according to standard operating procedures and pilot protocols. You will inspect products for quality and adherence to specifications, complete and ensure the accuracy of all process orders and associated documentation, and participate in the development and review of documentation changes. Additionally, you will prepare work centers for line clearance, conduct regular cleaning, train other employees, and participate in process improvement teams. You will act as a liaison with engineering staff on process improvement and development, and you will be responsible for maintaining and continuously improving the quality system and achieving quality objectives. This role performs semi-routine support duties of a specialized nature within an assigned area.

Requirements

  • High school diploma with 2 years of related experience.
  • Specialized training or certification in particular area, system or equipment.
  • Experience in team oriented work environment.
  • Experience in regulated work environment.
  • Thorough understanding of appropriate safety, health, and environmental procedures.
  • ERP and/or Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) experience.
  • Ability to engage, lead, and communicate in written and verbal format.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing methodology.
  • Basic computer skills with competency using Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Thorough understanding of the principles and applications of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and ISO 9001.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate equipment and processes in accordance with standard operating procedures and pilot protocols.
  • Inspect product for quality and adherence to specifications.
  • Completes and ensures accuracy of all process orders and associated required documentation, records and metrics.
  • Participate in the development and review of documentation changes to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
  • Prepare work centers for appropriate line clearance procedures and conduct regular cleaning in accordance with standard operating procedures.
  • Trains other employees, as needed.
  • Participates in process improvement teams and helps implement improvements.
  • Acts as a liaison with engineering staff on process improvement and development and communicates to the production team.
  • Responsible for maintaining and continuously improving the quality system and achieving quality objectives through daily actions.
  • Performs semi-routine support duties of a specialized nature within an assigned area.
  • Support manufacturing operations either in the manufacturing, packaging, and/or product labeling areas.
  • Set up and operate a variety of automatic or semi-automatic machines used in the production of the company's product.
  • Work from process sheets or written/verbal instructions given by supervisor to perform production tasks.
  • Check and inspects operations against predetermined tolerances.
  • Provide support to an area, person, or program.
  • Interfaces with internal customers.
  • Function as a subject matter expert in the area of knowledge.
  • Participate in the development and/or delivery of training for other employees on equipment and/or procedures.
