About The Position

Directs and coordinates activities in processing materials or manufacturing products; develops, optimizes, coordinates, and executes all processing-related activities of injection molding operations. This role requires the ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily, with reasonable accommodations made for individuals with disabilities. The Senior Production Scheduler will be responsible for scheduling production and sample activity for multi-shot production, issuing production job tickets, and developing, maintaining, and ensuring the integrity of data in SYSPRO for multi-shot items. This includes processing and maintaining MRP information and output, such as BOM, Forecast, Routing, pricing, and descriptions. The role involves close collaboration with Shipping and Quality to ensure product readiness for shipping schedules and communication of any changes. Planning production operations, establishing priorities, and sequences for manufacturing products and mold change activity are key responsibilities. The scheduler will compile, store, and retrieve production data, prepare reports as directed by the Operations Manager, and review production and operating reports to resolve manufacturing and maintenance problems, aiming for minimum costs, efficient production, and prevention of operational delays. Expediting production as needed and communicating logistics information with customers are also part of the role. A strong focus on continuous improvement in all aspects of production is expected, working closely with Production, Quality Assurance, Engineering Services, and other relevant areas. Collaboration with Engineering Services to ensure accurate labor standards in the Bill of Materials and periodic audits is required, along with measuring actual performance to standards. The position contributes to team effort by accomplishing department goals, exhibits regular and predictable attendance, maintains a clean and orderly work area, and assures safe practices are implemented and followed. Requirements

  • Production Scheduler must have and be willing to maintain the technological competency necessary to develop and manage a world-class manufacturing operation.

  • High School diploma or GED with additional relevant formal education or equivalent experience is required.
  • 3-5 years’ experience in Automotive manufacturing (scheduling, inventory control and/or use of ERP system) is required.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word & Microsoft Excel.

  • Understanding of EDI function and basic transactions is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Schedule production and sample activity for multi-shot production.
