About The Position

This role supports Tyson of Springdale, a new poultry processing facility opening in Springdale, Arkansas. Candidates selected for this position will start their Tyson career and complete training at a nearby Tyson facility in Rogers or Springdale, Arkansas. Once the new facility is operational, Team Members will transfer to Tyson of Springdale location in early 2027. This position is responsible to assist in controlling expenses; provide for the compliance and coordination of the federal meat inspection and OSHA requirements; interpret and enforce company policies; maintain non-union program; assist in the determination of manpower needs and makes recommendations; prepare and maintain prescribed records and reports to ensure that they reflect conditions accurately; solve problems in an effective manner with sound follow up; work with department heads to meet production quality yields goals and metrics goals while at the same time ensuring the maintenance of labor standards and quality of performance and product; inspect and maintain a high degree of competence in the areas of housekeeping safety sanitation security and food safety; manage evaluate and train production supervisors; and oversee all designated shift operations and any other responsibilities as deemed necessary by the plant manager. All Tyson Team Members are responsible for safety. This includes but is not limited to personal safety and food safety. This position is responsible for food safety food quality and legality. All professional team members are expected to demonstrate responsible use of approved AI tools, including safeguarding sensitive information, adhering to company policies, and validating AI-generated outputs. Individual Contributors should demonstrate the ability to integrate AI into daily work, improve efficiency through AI-enabled solutions, evaluate outputs critically, and apply professional judgment when using AI. People Leaders should demonstrate the ability to drive responsible AI adoption, enable effective use of approved solutions, identify opportunities to improve team performance through AI, and ensure accountability for the quality and accuracy of AI-supported outcomes.

Requirements

  • High School diploma with equivalent experience or college degree preferred
  • 5 plus years of related industry experience
  • 5 plus years supervisory experience in a meat processing facility pork or beef preferred
  • Knowledge of OSHA USDA and HAACP regulations
  • Standard computer skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Capable of communicating well both verbally and in writing with all levels of Team Members from hourly to upper management as well as government officials
  • Leader problem solver team player
  • Strong managerial skills necessary
  • Excellent safety and attendance records
  • Ability to work with department heads to meet safety production and quality yields and meet goals
  • Responsible for food safety food quality and legality
