About The Position

This position supports Tyson of Springdale, a new poultry processing facility opening in Springdale, Arkansas. Candidates selected for this position will start their new position and complete training at a nearby Tyson facility in Rogers or Springdale, Arkansas. Once the new facility is operational, Team Members will transfer to Tyson of Springdale location in early 2027. This role is responsible for assisting in controlling expenses; providing for the compliance and coordination of federal meat inspection and OSHA requirements; interpreting and enforcing company policies; maintaining a non-union program; assisting in the determination of manpower needs and making recommendations; preparing and maintaining prescribed records and reports to ensure that they reflect conditions accurately; solving problems in an effective manner with sound follow-up; working with department heads to meet production quality yields goals and metrics goals while at the same time ensuring the maintenance of labor standards and quality of performance and product; inspecting and maintaining a high degree of competence in the areas of housekeeping, safety, sanitation, security, and food safety; managing, evaluating, and training production supervisors; and overseeing all designated shift operations and any other responsibilities as deemed necessary by the plant manager. All Tyson Team Members are responsible for safety, including personal safety and food safety. This position is responsible for food safety, food quality, and legality.

Requirements

  • High School diploma with equivalent experience or college degree preferred.
  • 5 plus years of related industry experience.
  • 5 plus years supervisory experience in a meat processing facility (pork or beef preferred).
  • Knowledge of OSHA, USDA, and HAACP regulations.
  • Standard computer skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Capable of communicating well both verbally and in writing with all levels of Team Members from hourly to upper management as well as government officials.
  • Leader, problem solver, team player.
  • Excellent safety and attendance records.
  • Ability to work with department heads to meet safety production and quality yields and meet goals.
  • Willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
