About The Position

The Senior Production Associate will be responsible for operating fabrication equipment with little or no assistance after proper training. This role involves maintaining a rapid pace in packing extruded parts, monitoring parts counts, performing set-up and finishing work, assisting with quality checks, and working safely. The associate will also maintain accurate records of work performed and perform other duties as assigned. This position is in the Production Department and operates on a 12-hour rotating night shift.

Requirements

• Must be able to understand written and verbal instruction and following operating procedures.
• Must be able to learn and retain information on products, operating procedures, quality requirements, set-ups, etc.
• Must work well in a team setting.
• Must be able to lift loads up 50 pounds and assist coworkers with heavier loads.
• Must be able to work on your feet for a 12 hour shift.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Some manufacturing or assembly experience desirable.

Responsibilities

• Operate fabrication equipment with little or no assistance after having been properly trained.
• Maintain a rapid pace in packing extruded parts into the box or crate.
• Monitor parts counts in each box or container.
• Perform set-up and finishing work including construction of packaging materials, disposal of scrap and product labeling.
• Assist with quality checks of extruded and fabricated parts.
• Work in a safe manner, reporting safety risks, and keeping work areas clean.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed including operator reports, safety check sheets, etc.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
