About The Position
Lakeside Book Company, the largest bookmaker in the United States, is seeking a Production Associate to join their team. This role is crucial in ensuring finished products reach readers nationwide. Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry 20-50 pounds
- Ability to stand for the duration of your shift
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office (i.e., Excel)
- Consistent work experience
Nice To Haves
- Machine experience preferred, but not required
- Willingness to participate in cross-training and achieve qualified status within the position and assume responsibility as a back-up to lateral and progressive roles, as needed.
Responsibilities
- Operate robots and stackers that collect sections of books coming off printing presses.
- Strap book sections together and place them on pallets.
- Enter information about the books coming off the press into a computer, print labels, and place on a pallet.
- Perform routine maintenance such as cleaning and lubricating equipment to ensure a safe working environment.
