About The Position

The Governance Technology and Enablement (GTE) team within IT Risk and Compliance (IT RC) supports the IT RC organization with their technology and automation requirements, specifically focusing on ServiceNow Integrated Risk Management (IRM). The team's focus is on implementation, including configuring the ServiceNow IRM module to meet TJX's business needs, managing data integrations, and enhancing reporting capabilities.

Requirements

  • 5-8+ years of experience as a Product Owner
  • Bachelor’s degree or similar work experience
  • Demonstrated knowledge and application of Agile principles and frameworks, Scrum or Kanban teams
  • Working knowledge of the technical environment of ServiceNow Integrated Risk Management
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; both verbal and written
  • Demonstrated stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to support a collaborative environment with the scrum team and a wide stakeholder group
  • Critical thinking skills like analytical, problem solving, and open-minded curiosity
  • Experience with product backlog management tools; Jira Cloud preferred
  • Strong sense of ownership to proactively identify opportunities for improvement and take initiative to act on them
  • Growth mindset with a focus on stakeholder management and Product knowledge

Responsibilities

  • Maintaining the product backlog for the GTE team, leveraging ServiceNow platform and IRM knowledge to guide product enhancements, maintenance, and efficiencies.
  • Partnering with the Product Manager to understand priorities and features, ensuring the team's backlog aligns with the roadmap.
  • Ensuring user stories are clear, concise, and have well-defined acceptance criteria, collaborating with stakeholders and the scrum team to ensure stories are ready.
  • Owning the backlog of user stories, including creation, refinement, and prioritization.
  • Actively participating in all team Agile ceremonies.
  • Managing stakeholders, including accountability for scope trade-offs and timeline impacts.
  • Interacting with 8-10 stakeholders with varied technical knowledge.
  • Demonstrating working knowledge of the ServiceNow technical environment.
  • Accepting User Stories as meeting acceptance criteria during every sprint.
  • Performing acceptance testing at the story and feature levels.
  • Writing UAT test scripts.
  • Assisting in release planning and supporting processes.
  • Embracing Agile principles and applying a Lean Agile mindset.
  • Ensuring team risks and dependencies are identified and managed.
  • Demonstrating critical thinking skills such as analytical, problem-solving, and open-mindedness.
  • Following team processes and leveraging tools like Jira, ServiceNow, and Confluence.
