About The Position

LiveKit is seeking its first Product Operations Manager to own the operational aspects of the product team. As the team grows, this role will be responsible for designing and implementing processes for planning, goal setting, roadmap management, team rituals, customer feedback, and onboarding. The ideal candidate will be a builder who can create systems from scratch in an engineering-driven culture that values autonomy and efficiency. This role is crucial for making the product team faster and more effective.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience, with at least 3 in product operations or a closely related role (chief of staff to a product leader, product program management, product strategy and operations) supporting a product team.
  • Experience designing a product team's operating cadence from scratch at a scaling company.
  • Strong writing skills for creating templates, updates, plans, and documentation.
  • Data fluency, including defining metrics, working in BI tools, and identifying trustworthy data.
  • Technical credibility within a developer-focused company.
  • Ability to influence without authority.
  • Heavy use of AI tools in personal work and ability to help others do the same.

Nice To Haves

  • Product operations experience at a developer tools, API, infrastructure, or AI company.
  • Experience running quarterly planning or OKRs for a product organization.
  • Experience building a research repository or a customer recruiting program for B2B research.
  • Experience building a PM onboarding program or career ladder.
  • Experience working with go-to-market teams on launch readiness and product stage definitions.
  • Experience as a product manager.
  • SQL proficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Run the product team's operating cadence, including planning cycles, reviews, and recurring updates.
  • Own the roadmap as a system, ensuring it is structured appropriately for different audiences and stays current.
  • Make goals and progress visible by running goal-setting for the product team and tracking progress against measurable goals.
  • Maintain the product development playbook, including standards for problem briefs, launch readiness, product stage definitions, and release notes.
  • Run the customer insight engine, managing systems for customer feedback, research repositories, and synthesis of customer input.
  • Grow the craft of the PM team through onboarding, training, and community of practice.
  • Choose and run the team's tools, ensuring PMs leverage them effectively.
  • Partner with the head of product to improve the product organization quarterly.
