About The Position

Amperon is a company focused on energy data and AI, providing forecasting solutions for the energy transition. Their data infrastructure and forecasting models help power and utility companies maintain grid reliability, optimize asset economics, and accelerate decarbonization. Customers include utilities, generators, traders, and retailers who rely on Amperon's forecasts for critical daily decisions. The company operates a remote-first model with offices in Texas. This role is responsible for product positioning, equipping the Sales team, and managing market launches. It's a senior individual-contributor position reporting to Product. The role requires hands-on execution from strategy to collateral creation, with close collaboration across Sales, Product, Marketing, and Data Science. The position has global product marketing ownership from the outset, covering both US and EMEA markets. Amperon values sharp operators and is willing to train on energy markets rather than strictly adhering to a résumé checklist.

Requirements

  • Seven or more years in product marketing, with hands-on experience, including direct involvement in sales deals.
  • Proven track record of taking products to market, including launch strategy and go-to-market planning.
  • Experience building positioning and competitive programs that have been utilized by sales representatives.
  • Ability to engage deeply with technical product details with engineers and conduct sharp buyer conversations with VPs.
  • Comfort marketing across different regions; familiarity with European energy markets is a strong plus.
  • Comfort operating independently, setting strategy, and building collateral, enablement, and documentation.
  • Established trust with a Sales organization, to the point where Account Executives would specifically request involvement in their most challenging deals.
  • Fluency in using AI tools like Claude for increased efficiency.
  • Energy or electricity markets background is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

  • Owning positioning and market intelligence, including messaging for technical buyers transitioning to a workflow platform, defining ICP and market sizing, competitive intelligence, and analyzing win/loss data to inform the narrative.
  • Arming Sales with an enablement program, collateral, and a customer proof engine (case studies, references).
  • Owning product launches end-to-end, including launch strategy, cross-functional GTM orchestration, and collaborating with Product and Commercial teams on launch requirements.
  • Constantly monitoring product-market fit by evaluating pipeline, Closed Won, and Closed Lost deals to identify successful differentiators and feeding this information back to the Product team for roadmap decisions.
  • Collaborating across multiple teams, acting as the liaison for the Product team with Marketing (campaign success), Sales (field enablement), and Product/Data Science (understanding technical details and translating them into market-facing and sales-facing product documentation).
  • Performing hands-on work, including creating campaign content, documentation, and delivering enablement materials.
