Senior Product Marketing Manager

PointFiveNew York, NY
$172,000 - $185,000Hybrid

About The Position

PointFive is seeking a product marketing leader to own the positioning, launch, and go-to-market strategy for two significant product initiatives: an AI-native refresh of the PointFive platform and a new product focused on coding agent optimization for LLM usage governance. The refreshed platform will enable customers to build their own applications and agents within PointFive, collapsing the category of Cloud & AI Efficiency Management. The coding agent optimization product will help enterprises manage and reduce LLM costs while enforcing governance. This role is crucial for defining how these products are received by FinOps leaders, platform engineering VPs, CIOs, CTOs, and the broader market.

Requirements

  • 6–10+ years in product marketing at a B2B SaaS or infrastructure company, with experience at an early-stage or hyper-growth startup.
  • Proven track record of launching technical products to technical buyers (e.g., DevOps, platform engineering, FinOps, cloud, security, AI/ML infrastructure).
  • Strong narrative instincts; ability to translate complex product ideas into understandable stories for diverse stakeholders.
  • Excellent writing skills, capable of producing high-quality launch narratives, blog posts, and sales one-pagers with minimal revision.
  • Comfort with ambiguity and operating at speed in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to operate like a founder, focusing on output and judgment over process.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience marketing to FinOps, cloud cost, observability, or AI infrastructure buyers.
  • Familiarity with agentic/AI-native product concepts.

Responsibilities

  • Own positioning and messaging for the refreshed platform, including category narrative, pillar-level messaging, ICP-specific value props, and competitive differentiation.
  • Lead product launches end-to-end, encompassing naming, narrative, sales enablement, web presence, press, analyst relations, customer references, and the launch event.
  • Build the go-to-market motion in collaboration with sales and product teams, developing sales plays, providing input on pricing and packaging, creating persona-based playbooks, and producing essential field assets.
  • Act as the voice of the customer internally by conducting win/loss analyses, customer interviews, and message testing, translating insights into refined positioning and content.
  • Sharpen the competitive narrative in a market with legacy FinOps tools, hyperscaler-native cost products, and emerging AI-cost solutions.
  • Partner with demand generation, content, and field marketing teams to ensure consistent positioning across all marketing channels.
  • Grow the product marketing function, starting as a hands-on individual contributor and building out the PMM team as the company scales.

Benefits

  • Base Salary Range: $172,000 - $185,000 plus equity.
  • Health, dental, and vision insurance.
  • Equity in an early-stage, exciting company.
  • Generous Paid Time Off (PTO).
  • 401K.
  • Meal and commuter benefits.
  • A challenging and collaborative team environment.
