About The Position

Azure Customer Success Marketing helps customers get more value from their cloud investments. Our team is responsible for the authoritative guidance Microsoft publishes for building and running on Azure, including the Cloud Adoption Framework, the Well-Architected Framework, and the Azure Architecture Center, along with programs that deliver this guidance to engineers and architects. This role focuses on owning how that guidance reaches its audience by creating content such as ebooks, technical papers, blogs, and video programming that synthesize information from multiple sources into end-to-end solutions. The position also involves hosting and producing a flagship Azure technical video series with over 220 episodes, targeting developers, IT decision makers, and business decision makers. The ideal candidate is both technically proficient and a skilled marketer, capable of writing deep technical content, engaging in architecture discussions, and managing campaign mechanics including channel strategy, integrated marketing, measurement, and vendor partnerships. The role will inherit existing momentum and be expected to shape future initiatives, such as a new technical masterclass series and a fully produced video show format.

Requirements

  • Master's Degree in Marketing, Communications, Computer Science, Engineering, Business or related field AND 3+ years experience in technical product marketing, developer marketing, technical content, or a related discipline OR Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications, Computer Science, Engineering, Business or related field AND 5+ years experience in technical product marketing, developer marketing, technical content, or a related discipline OR equivalent experience.
  • Experience writing in-depth technical content for practitioner and architect audiences.
  • Experience presenting technical content on camera or on stage.
  • Hands-on familiarity with cloud architecture and deploying/operating workloads on a major cloud platform.
  • Hands-on familiarity with Microsoft Azure and its published guidance (Cloud Adoption Framework, Well-Architected Framework, Azure Architecture Center).
  • Working knowledge of building and operating AI agents in production.
  • Experience running integrated marketing campaigns for a technical audience.
  • Experience directing vendors, program managers, or production partners.
  • Experience influencing across organizational boundaries.
  • Ability to provide a portfolio of relevant work (technical content or hosted video work).

Responsibilities

  • Own the marketing strategy for Microsoft's authoritative Azure guidance, turning framework content into actionable material for engineers and architects.
  • Write and co-author long-form technical content, including ebooks, technical papers, blogs, and narrative overviews.
  • Host and produce Microsoft's flagship Azure technical video series, identifying and recruiting subject matter experts, shaping topic slates, and conducting technical conversations on camera.
  • Direct the program manager, subject matter experts, and production partners for a multi-part technical masterclass series, ensuring material reaches the right audience through the right channels.
  • Design and run mid-funnel campaigns to move technical audiences from awareness to action across various channels.
  • Land guidance through integrated marketing, customer success teams, technical workshops, and partner channels.
  • Own the public web presence for Azure guidance, including landing experience refreshes and performance metrics.
  • Shape in-product and agent-driven guidance experiences with engineering and product teams, building a prioritized backlog.
  • Manage lifecycle communications for published guidance, including deprecation and end-of-life notices.
  • Coordinate messaging with adjacent product marketing teams for portfolio consistency.
  • Brief and prepare external speakers representing Azure guidance.
  • Define and track the measurement plan for the portfolio, including video performance, content engagement, and downstream signals.
