Senior Product Manager

About The Position

Property Meld's mission is to radically improve how the property management industry handles maintenance, through our Intelligent Maintenance platform. We are rethinking the entire experience to drive maintenance cost toward the minimum and make residents and owners want to stay with their property manager, not leave. We are hiring a Senior Product Manager to own outcomes for a meaningful part of our product. You are accountable for solving problems that create real value, for our customers and for the business, not for shipping features. Your job is to make the right bets and to carry them through to value customers actually recognize. This is a role for someone who wants to own the whole arc of a problem: understanding it deeply, deciding what to do with your design and engineering partners, and staying with the work through launch and beyond to confirm it landed. You will often be the only product person in the room, and what you decide there holds. You hold two questions at once: do customers get real value (desirability), and does the business (viability, which in our subscription model means strengthening why customers subscribe, expand, and stay). Before work earns a place on the roadmap, you make the case for it in writing: the problem, the job the customer is trying to get done, the outcome you expect, and why the bet will work. Responding well to inbound requests is table stakes at this level, not the job — you connect your work to where the business needs to be beyond the current cycle. A happy customer is a weak signal. You push past sentiment to whether customers recognize value they cannot do without, because that is what earns renewal. You are the face of the product trio to the rest of the company, and to customers directly. You package the reason, the outcome, and the value so the team, our customer-facing teams, and customers can each act on it. Value that is never understood is never realized.

Requirements

  • Candidates MUST be eligible for full-time employment in the United States.
  • Deep customer curiosity.
  • Evidence over ego.
  • Priority discipline, earned.
  • Clear in writing and in the room.
  • Measurement literacy.
  • Collaborative ownership.
  • A generalist who prefers a team.
  • Self-directed and driven by purpose.

Nice To Haves

  • PropertyTech experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Own outcomes, not output.
  • Make the case for bets in writing: the problem, the job the customer is trying to get done, the outcome you expect, and why the bet will work.
  • Connect your work to where the business needs to be beyond the current cycle.
  • Push past sentiment to whether customers recognize value they cannot do without.
  • Carry the 'why' to everyone, acting as the face of the product trio to the rest of the company and to customers directly.
  • Discover and decide alongside design and engineering, before the build, not by passing specs over a wall.
  • Stay grounded in first-hand customer reality as a standing habit.
  • Stay engaged from the problem through delivery, rollout, and measurement.
  • Stay close to the build and to QA.
  • Create clarity, alignment, and momentum in every direction without relying on positional power.
  • Listen to understand, stay close to the people who use the product, and dig for the value they recognize.
  • Hold convictions strongly but loosely, and change course when the evidence says a bet will miss.
  • Protect focus, can say no in a way earned by consistently delivering, and push for better evidence before the team commits to work.
  • Build a written, persuasive argument, and command a room and distill a crisp value proposition when it matters.
  • Choose metrics that track both the customer's outcome and the business consequence — not vanity numbers — and combine quantitative signal with qualitative understanding of why.
  • Share credit generously and can still speak clearly to what you contributed.
  • Take responsibility rather than assign blame.
  • Work with strong specialists.
  • Treat every gap as a muscle to build.
  • Bring your own autonomy, keep building your own mastery, and carry the 'why' so naturally that the people around you absorb it.
  • Visit with a customer and shadow them, learning how they are using and not using our product, once per quarter on your schedule.
