The Senior Product Manager is responsible for defining and executing product strategy across core and emerging categories, with a focus on identifying white space and driving new growth opportunities. This role leads the development of product vision and roadmaps grounded in consumer insight, market analysis, and clear business cases. Working cross-functionally with engineering, design, marketing, sales, and business development, the Senior Product Manager drives products from concept through launch and lifecycle management. The role balances strategic thinking with hands-on execution, ensuring products deliver strong consumer value, commercial impact, and brand differentiation. As a key product leader, the Senior Product Manager evaluates new category opportunities, builds compelling investment cases, and influences senior stakeholders to move the business forward. This role suits a commercially minded, consumer-focused product leader who thrives in ambiguity and is motivated by building what’s next.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of product management experience, preferably with consumer durables
  • Proven track record of successfully launching and managing products from concept to market, including experience with new category development or market expansion
  • Experience building business cases and securing stakeholder buy-in for new business initiatives
  • Strong leadership and project management skills
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with ability to influence senior leadership
  • Global experience preferred
  • Experience with strategic partnerships or business development initiatives a plus
  • Highly consumer focused, knowledge of sewing and/or craft industry preferred
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing
  • Exceptional communicator with impeccable interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated ability to direct internal and external stakeholders
  • Financial and business acumen
  • Advanced computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Excel
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, balance priorities and meet deadlines
  • Leads with passion to inspire and excite the broader organization
  • Comfortable managing ambiguity through systematic approach to clarify opportunities and challenges
  • Detail oriented with superior organizational skills
  • The employee is occasionally required to demonstrate machines by sitting, standing and using hands.
  • Must be able to lift >25lbs, which would consist of handling sewing machines to support Product Marketing innovation and launches, along with marketing events
  • Requires 7-10 years experience.
  • Responsibilies include managing large projects or processes with limited supervision.
  • Coaching reviewing and delegating work to lower level professionals.
  • Problems faced are difficult and sometimes complex

Responsibilities

  • Develop and articulate a clear product vision and strategy that identifies white space opportunities and new category potential within the company's existing business framework.
  • Conduct thorough market research to identify unmet customer and end-user needs, emerging industry trends, adjacent market opportunities, and competitive gaps.
  • Define and prioritize the product roadmap based on customer insights, market analysis, business objectives, and strategic growth opportunities in new and emerging categories.
  • Identify and evaluate opportunities to expand into new product categories that leverage existing capabilities, distribution channels, and brand equity.
  • Build business cases for new category entries, including market sizing, competitive landscape analysis, investment requirements, and projected ROI.
  • Establish strategic partnerships and explore collaboration opportunities that enable category expansion and market penetration.
  • Lead new category feasibility studies and pilot programs to validate market demand and business viability.
  • Lead cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, project management, marketing, sales, and business development, to drive the product roadmap and launches across existing and new categories.
  • Create and maintain detailed product specifications and requirements for assigned product categories, including new category development initiatives.
  • Oversee the product development lifecycle for both core products and new category ventures, ensuring timely and successful delivery of new products and features.
  • Engage with sales, customer-facing teams, and potential new customer segments to gather feedback on product usage, identify pain points, uncover opportunities for improvement, and discover unmet needs that could drive new category development.
  • Ensure products provide exceptional user experience, advanced functionality, and reliable performance across all categories.
  • Conduct voice-of-customer research to validate new category concepts and refine go-to-market approaches.
  • Analyze market trends, competitor offerings, and adjacent industries to identify opportunities, threats, and white space for category expansion.
  • Develop pricing strategies and product positioning to maximize market share, profitability, and successful entry into new categories.
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to create compelling product messaging and go-to-market strategies for both existing products and new category launches.
  • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure product success, category performance, and guide future improvements.
  • Conduct post-launch evaluations to gather learnings and apply them to subsequent product development cycles and new category initiatives.
  • Monitor new category performance against business case projections and adjust strategies accordingly.
