Senior Product Manager, AI-native platform

Thanx•Canada, KS
•$140,000 - $180,000•Remote

About The Position

Thanx is hiring a Senior Product Manager to own a meaningful area of its next-generation restaurant loyalty and guest engagement platform, from customer discovery and product definition through delivery and business outcomes. The platform spans branded consumer apps and web ordering, loyalty programs, marketing automation and CRM, data and reporting, AI products, and restaurant POS and ordering integrations. The role has a broad mandate and substantial end-to-end ownership in a company that is profitable, has strong retention, and is rebuilding its platform around AI. The product organization uses AI-native workflows, including tools for querying customer feedback and product data, maintaining versioned requirements and prototypes, creating customer-testable prototypes, and directing AI agents to perform engineering work. The Product Manager will use these systems and help improve the workflows, tools, skills, and guardrails behind them. Success depends on sound judgment: identifying valuable customer problems, defining quality outcomes for restaurant operators, and recognizing when a system is heading in the wrong direction. This is a 100% remote role for candidates based in the US or Canada. Thanx describes its culture as high-ownership, with employees receiving equity and an expectation of real intensity, including evenings and weekends when the work calls for it. Compensation varies by location and tier: US Tier 1 $161,000–$180,000 USD; US Tier 2 $148,000–$163,000 USD; US Tier 3 $140,000–$155,000 USD; Canada $140,000–$161,000 CAD. Final leveling and compensation depend on experience, scope, and work location.

Requirements

  • Typically, 5+ years of product management experience and a track record of shipping products used and paid for by customers.
  • Practical experience with AI tools such as Claude Code, Codex, or comparable agentic tools, including personally built prototypes, scripts, or workflows.
  • Customer-focused and evidence-driven approach, with the ability to distinguish isolated requests from meaningful patterns.
  • Technical fluency, including ability to read a schema, write a query, follow a pull request, and discuss tradeoffs with engineers.
  • Strong written thinking and the ability to produce clear, precise specifications read by both people and agents.
  • Ability to take ownership and thrive with a broad mandate and little process.
  • Must be based in the US or Canada.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with restaurants, retail, commerce, POS or ordering integrations, loyalty, or marketing technology.
  • Experience shipping AI- or ML-powered product features such as recommendations, segmentation, agents, or conversational interfaces.
  • Experience with two-sided products where the buyer (brand) and end user (guest) are different people.
  • A public trail of thinking about how product work is changing, such as writing, talks, or open-source tooling.
  • B2B SaaS and data-heavy product experience are described as ideal.

Responsibilities

  • Own a platform area end to end, including discovery, definition, delivery, and assessment of outcomes.
  • Engage with restaurant operators and marketers weekly, and use customer conversations, support information, and product usage data to identify and validate needs.
  • Turn customer signals into blueprints, prototypes, and shipped product in short cycles measured in days and weeks.
  • Write precise specifications for AI agents, review their work, and identify when their output is incorrect.
  • Shape AI-native product experiences, including areas such as segmentation, issue recovery, campaign guidance, and merchant analytics.
  • Work with order, loyalty, and guest-level data to help merchants understand results and make actionable decisions.
  • Contribute to internal tools, skills, and workflows that improve the speed and effectiveness of product development.
  • Help shape how product is made at Thanx, including its AI agents, templates, workflows, and guardrails.

Benefits

  • Equity for all employees.
