Senior Product Manager - Strategic Client Programs

Gifthealth Inc•Columbus, OH
•$122,000 - $154,000

About The Position

Gifthealth is seeking a Senior Product Manager, Strategic Client Programs, to serve as the dedicated product lead for one of its largest client accounts. The role shapes the client's program and owns the product conversation from understanding client needs through delivery by engineering. It is a senior individual-contributor position with significant influence and a high communication bar. Gifthealth is hiring two people for these roles, each dedicated to a single top-tier account. The role supports the Product department and reports to the Director of Product, Client Success. It partners with the client, engineering, client success, and platform product to align the program with organizational goals, operational excellence, and compliance standards. The product manager defines program outcomes, communicates feasibility and tradeoffs, and determines whether client-specific work should become part of the shared platform. This is a full-time, exempt position with typical business hours. Flexibility may be needed for client escalations and client-facing meetings. The work location is to be confirmed by HR; the posting lists on-site, hybrid, or remote as possibilities. The role includes regular meetings with the strategic client, client success leads, engineering, and platform product. It requires working at a computer and participating in video and in-person meetings for extended periods.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • At least 6 years of product management experience, including ownership of products tied to enterprise customers or large accounts.
  • Outcome-oriented, able to identify the change being driven and demonstrate whether it was achieved.
  • High agency: takes ownership of finding answers and brings options when blocked.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and able to find signal in unstructured client needs and make decisions quickly.
  • Uses AI in real work, such as drafting specifications, synthesizing conversations, and building mockups or lightweight prototypes; has shipped something real using AI.
  • Credible in client-facing settings, with experience serving as the product counterpart to a demanding enterprise client, leading meetings, and declining requests without damaging the relationship.
  • Sound judgment about software feasibility and viability, with the ability to assess what is realistic and maintain that position with client and internal stakeholders.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, including the ability to explain tradeoffs clearly to client executives and engineers.
  • Able to write build-ready specifications that include context, requirements, acceptance criteria, edge cases, and open questions.
  • Works effectively with non-product colleagues, especially client success and account teams.
  • Able to reason about when a product capability should be bespoke and when it should become shared platform functionality.
  • Able to work at a computer and participate in video and in-person meetings for extended periods.

Nice To Haves

  • Healthcare, pharma, or specialty pharmacy experience, including understanding how manufacturers approach patient access and support programs.
  • Experience with patient support, hub services, or access programs.
  • Experience in a customer-embedded or account-aligned product role.
  • Hands-on experience with Linear.

Responsibilities

  • Own the client program's product vision, including its current state, future direction, and rationale, shaping it in collaboration with the client.
  • Translate ongoing client conversations into clear problems, priorities, and requirements, distinguishing requests from underlying needs.
  • Bring synthesized client needs to engineering, make tradeoffs, write build-ready specifications, and keep delivery moving.
  • Communicate feasibility and viability decisions clearly, explain what can and cannot be done, and respectfully push back on requests that would not add value.
  • Partner with client success leads to align client communications and maintain realistic expectations.
  • Understand the platform's current capabilities and gaps, and work with platform product to determine whether and how client-specific work should graduate into the platform.
  • Define program success, instrument outcomes, and report results to the client and internally.
  • Participate in regular meetings with the strategic client, client success leads, engineering, and platform product to ensure alignment.
