About The Position

At PayPal, real-time decision-making powers customer protection and global commerce. Our Risk Decisioning Platform drives fraud, credit, and compliance decisions, processing massive signal volumes in milliseconds. We're looking for a Senior Product Manager to support strategy, execution, and delivery for a core platform pillar. You'll gather requirements across fraud, credit, and compliance, translating them into clear specifications and user stories. You'll partner with engineering, data science, risk strategy, and UX to build scalable solutions, track health metrics, support legacy migration, and enable faster experimentation and real-time feature access. You'll lead sprint planning, manage the backlog, and flag cross-pillar dependencies. The ideal candidate has a strong technical foundation in scaled platforms — recommendation engines, inference systems, or ML/AI. This is a hands-on, technically grounded role with meaningful impact across fraud, credit, and compliance.

Requirements

  • 3+ years relevant experience and a Bachelor’s degree OR Any equivalent combination of education and experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Exposure to decisioning platforms, recommendation systems, feature stores, rule engines, or real-time ML inference infrastructure.
  • Experience supporting platform adoption across multiple internal teams, including managing competing requirements and negotiating prioritization.
  • Ability to define and track platform KPIs and translate data insights into actionable product decisions.
  • Familiarity with agile methodologies, including backlog management, sprint ceremonies, and milestone tracking.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to translate technical complexity into clear narratives for both engineering and business stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Uses data to build insights on product or platform requirements consistent with the shared vision for the product.
  • Gathers insights from the customer experience and customer needs to input to product requirements
  • Analyzes research, market analysis and usability studies, research and market analysis to support data-driven decision making
  • Monitors product profitability measures, including budget.
  • Lead sprint planning, daily standups and retrospectives to drive execution.
  • Interfaces with product and technology leadership as needed.
  • Partners with content developers, data scientists, product designers and user experience researchers to identify new opportunities.
