You’ll transform fragmented workflows, telemetry, service data, and real-world field challenges into a cohesive platform vision—and rally teams across Cloud, UX, hardware, firmware, operations, support, and go-to-market to bring it to life, from early discovery through launch and adoption.

Requirements

  • 6+ years defining and delivering market-leading software products, including experience leading the development of software for fleet, logistics, mobility, or other operationally complex environments.
  • Experience wireframing and collaborating closely with UX design.
  • AI-forward mindset, with proven experience using AI to accelerate the product delivery process.
  • Familiarity with data modeling and API-driven architectures; able to reason about systems at scale.
  • Strong technical fluency and ability to work effectively across autonomy, firmware, and cloud engineering teams.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Deep curiosity and empathy for users managing real-world, operational complexity.
  • Excitement to travel to customer sites and engage with end-users to gain a deep understanding of real problems and how Skydio can best solve them.
  • Obtaining FAA Part 107 certification within the first 60 days of employment is strongly encouraged for all Skydio employees and required for this position.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with drones, autonomous systems, robotics, industrial IoT, or other mission-critical connected products.

  • Define the end-to-end dock service experience from issue detection and remote diagnosis through dispatch, parts, repair, verification, and closure, with a focus on reducing mean time to repair and repeat visits.
  • Drive feature definition and prioritization in close collaboration with design, engineering, and go-to-market teams.
  • Prototype and validate intuitive workflows that abstract away complexity for our customers.
  • Engage with customers, prospects, and internal stakeholders to understand core business problems to develop and iterate user personas and their use case-specific requirements.
