About The Position

As a Senior Product Manager, Electrical Tools, you’ll be part of our Tools & Outdoor team working as a hybrid employee in Townson, MD. You’ll manage the complete product lifecycle process, alongside the Product Management team, from conception to launch. You will manage key portfolios within the space including, but not limited to Wire Cutting and Cable Stripping. You will drive and develop new products while overseeing and managing quality issues and developing sales and promotion programs. You will be responsible for the development and execution of a comprehensive strategic plan for the profitable management of pricing, gross margins, collateral materials, and point-of-purchase. This also entails a monthly forecast of product lines to include detailed tactics required to meet strategic objectives. You will maintain an awareness of trends in the relevant industry and related industries and develop a deep understanding of the end user in order to incorporate these insights into successful new product launches. You will support and prepare for customer meetings, presentations, and line reviews. You will assist in leading cross-functional teams to achieve company objectives, as well as act as the point of contact for manufacturing, purchasing, sales, quality, and engineering. You will provide product training to internal and external stakeholders. You will evaluate and develop product line total sales and product positioning, including responsibility for managing the annual marketing budget and the profit and loss of the product line. You will establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure product success and drive continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • BS or BA in Marketing, Business Administration, Finance, Engineering, or related field.
  • 4+ years of Product Management experience, supporting electrical tools, consumer products, power tools, accessories, hardware, outdoor products, or other durable goods categories preferred.
  • 3+ years of successfully commercializing and deploying effective go-to-to-market strategies for driving core and new product categories.
  • Understanding or experience with Power Tools, User Applications, with a history of developing solutions to end users.
  • Ability to work effectively across functions and lead teams; must be able to present data and conclusions in an organized manner.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite

Nice To Haves

  • experience using PowerBI, SAP/BW, Metastorm, Windchill or Qlikeview is a plus.
