Senior Product Manager, AI Platform

Loop•San Francisco, CA
•$183,000 - $205,000•Onsite

About The Position

Loop turns unstructured logistics documents into structured, audited, payable data. Its platform includes the agent runtime and frameworks for producing and validating structured data at scale, shared services and abstractions used by application teams, and tools for development, evaluation, and operations. The Senior Product Manager for AI Platform will drive this platform layer end to end. The primary customers are internal product engineering teams, AI Operations analysts, solutions engineers, and implementation managers. The role focuses on providing reusable capabilities that help these teams ship more and faster, working directly with builders, platform tooling, and data rather than the sales cycle. The position partners closely with AI Platform engineering leadership and reports to the Chief Product Officer. This is an in-person role based in San Francisco, with an expectation of working in the office four or more days per week.

Requirements

  • At least 4 years of product management experience, including at least 2 years on a developer platform, internal tooling, data platform, or AI/ML platform.
  • Bachelor of Science in a STEM field.
  • Experience building shared services, APIs, or component libraries used by other engineering teams, and sound judgment about when to abstract a pattern.
  • Strong understanding of AI and ML systems in production, including the design, evaluation, and operation of agentic systems.
  • Hands-on experience shipping AI or ML systems and the ability to reason about why a system failed.
  • Experience making internal users the primary customer.
  • Ability to translate complex technical capabilities into tooling that non-technical operators can use without training.
  • Ability to develop and communicate product vision and strategy to engineering and executive audiences.
  • Comfort operating in an ambiguous, fast-moving domain.

Nice To Haves

  • Master of Science or equivalent.
  • Prior logistics experience.
  • Experience building evaluation or observability tooling for AI systems.
  • Experience delivering AI or data software to large enterprises.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and drive the platform product roadmap and priorities so application teams and operations can move faster.
  • Drive the agent runtime as a product, including agent tools, context, memory, and orchestration primitives that enable agents to be assembled from existing capabilities.
  • Define how agents earn autonomy, including guardrails, approval points, escalation paths, and what agents may do unsupervised.
  • Define how automation is evaluated before and after release.
  • Partner with engineering to design scalable solutions and evaluate cross-industry agentic technology to determine what Loop should adopt, extend, or build.
  • Establish and maintain platform KPIs, including adoption of shared capabilities, automation rate, time from new use case to production, and gross margin expansion.
  • Justify roadmap investment with quantitative and qualitative evidence, making explicit trade-offs across capability, cost, and latency.
  • Partner with AI Operations, Solutions, and Implementation to move validated workflows into product and sequence platform investment against active enterprise deployments.
