About The Position

WEX is building an enterprise Agentic AI Platform that enables teams to create, deploy, govern, and scale AI agents across the company. This hands-on role spans defining capabilities, onboarding early adopters, and shaping paved roads that make building governed agents at WEX easier, faster, and more secure.

Requirements

  • Senior Product Management experience, including ownership of a platform, developer tooling, API product, infrastructure, or shared service used by other teams.
  • Strong understanding of applied generative AI, agentic systems, LLMs, retrieval and grounding, tool use, and orchestration.
  • Proven track record of driving platform adoption, owning the developer or builder experience, and creating actionable documentation, quickstarts, and reference patterns.
  • Solid knowledge of enterprise controls, including authentication, identity, least-privilege access, audit logging, and risk tiering.
  • Ability to configure systems, call APIs, use AI-assisted tools, and read execution logs or traces; working familiarity with Markdown, JSON, YAML, or similar formats.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex platform concepts and influence technical, security, and executive stakeholders without direct authority.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with an AI or agent platform, model gateway, integration gateway, or tool-access protocols such as MCP.
  • Experience evolving an internally focused platform to support external customers or partners.

  • Experience launching low-code or no-code tooling alongside developer-facing capabilities.
  • Experience in highly regulated environments such as payments, fintech, or healthcare.
  • Familiarity with cloud IAM, service-to-service authentication, or AI evaluation frameworks.

Responsibilities

  • Own the platform adoption lifecycle by defining onboarding paths, recruiting pilot teams, converting successful pilots into reusable reference implementations, and measuring outcomes.
  • Drive the end-to-end builder journey from discovery to deployment, treating documentation and self-service onboarding as product surfaces and systematically reducing friction.
  • Manage platform demand and maintain a transparent, user-facing capability roadmap for agent registration, model routing, identity, logging, and governed access.
  • Partner with Security, Infrastructure, Risk, and Compliance to incorporate enterprise governance into the paved road, make the compliant path the fastest path, and remove adoption blockers.
  • Own alpha, beta, and GA release lifecycles for platform components, establishing entry and exit criteria and coordinating releases across interdependent components.
