We are looking for a Sr. Product Experience Designer who is passionate about creating intuitive, engaging, and emotionally resonant user experiences. In this role, you will design experiences that help users find the right stories, enjoy them deeply, and stay in flow longer. You will partner closely with Product Managers, Engineers, and cross-functional teams to shape problems, explore solutions, and deliver experiences that balance user goals, motivations, and business outcomes. This is a role for a designer who enjoys both discovery and execution and who sees design as a way to create clarity, momentum, and value.
Requirements
- 5+ years of product design experience, with a portfolio that demonstrates craft and intentional decision-making across complex workflows.
- A track record of independently driving design processes from discovery through launch.
- Experience partnering with cross-functional teams to shape product direction and align on priorities
- Have cross-platform design experience (web, iOS, AN)
- Experience working with and contributing to design systems
- Experience leading user research and translating insights into product decisions that drive measurable improvements in outcomes and experience quality
- Self-starter who is comfortable working in ambiguity and able to collaborate well in fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in Figma and collaborative tools, with experience using AI tools to support design workflows
- Bachelor’s Degree in Design, Interaction Design, HCI, or related discipline

- Familiarity with Wattpad, WEBTOON, fanfiction communities, or creator platforms
- An appreciation for fandom culture, online communities, and the ways readers and writers connect around stories
Responsibilities
- Partner with Product Managers, Engineers, and Researchers to uncover user needs and design seamless experiences that help readers and writers connect more deeply through storytelling and community.
- Communicate design rationale through clear storytelling, helping teams align around customer needs, product vision, and business goals.
- Own the end-to-end design process across web, iOS, and Android — from discovery through design, implementation, and iteration.
- Grow Wattpad's design culture by mentoring designers, facilitating critiques and workshops, sharing best practices, and helping evolve our design processes.
- Contribute to and evolve Wattpad's design system by creating scalable, consistent patterns and collaborating with engineers to improve implementation quality.
- Champion accessible and inclusive design by applying accessibility standards and advocating for experiences that work for a diverse global audience.
- Leverage AI-powered design tools to improve design quality, accelerate workflows, and uncover new opportunities for product innovation.
