Senior Product Engineer
About The Position
Re:Build Composite Resources, a Re:Build Manufacturing company in Rock Hill, South Carolina, is seeking a Senior Product Engineer to support its composite components and tooling business. The role works on aerospace and defense programs and involves leading customer relationships, advancing composite development, and mentoring engineering personnel. The engineer owns complex, high-revenue customer programs from concept through production, tackles engineering challenges with limited precedent, and serves as a technical advisor to strategic customer accounts. The role also establishes engineering standards, build guidelines, and procedures and provides technical mentoring and design reviews for Product Engineer I/II personnel.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
- 5–8+ years of professional engineering experience in composite or mechanical component build and manufacturing.
- Proven track record managing complex, high-value programs from concept to production.
- Advanced proficiency in SolidWorks, FEA, and GD&T.
- Strong understanding of aerospace quality standards and customer-specific requirements.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor engineering teams effectively.

Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end responsibility for complex, high-revenue customer programs exceeding $1M.
- Lead innovation in composite development, including exploring novel material systems and advanced manufacturing processes.
- Solve first-principles engineering challenges with limited precedent.
- Serve as a trusted technical advisor to key strategic customer accounts.
- Establish and maintain engineering standards, build guidelines, and procedures.
- Mentor Product Engineer I/II personnel, including technical mentoring and design reviews.
