Senior Product Designer

$180,000 - $220,000Onsite

About The Position

Credit Genie is seeking a Senior Product Designer to own a product space end-to-end. This role involves defining problems, sequencing solutions, shaping the product system, and iterating post-launch with minimal supervision. The designer will be part of a small, senior design team, reporting to the Director of Product Design, and will collaborate closely with Product Management, Engineering, Brand, and Research leads. This is an opportunity for a designer who has previously held senior responsibility and wants to make impactful decisions in a growing company.

Requirements

  • 6+ years designing consumer digital products, with clear examples of owning an entire product space, not just features within one.
  • A portfolio showcasing craft and reasoning, including problem definition, exploration, trade-offs, and post-launch outcomes.
  • Real design systems experience: building, evolving, or deprecating patterns at scale, and partnering with engineering to ship them.
  • Proficiency across visual, interaction, and content design.
  • Native mobile experience, as products are mobile-first.
  • Evidence of raising the bar for people around you through mentorship, critique leadership, or process implementation.
  • Strong written communication skills for documentation and async alignment.
  • Comfort with ambiguity and a fast pace, with the judgment to know when speed is not the priority.
  • Fluency with AI in the design workflow (prototyping, exploration, production) and discernment in its application.
  • Experience working closely with an embedded UX researcher.

Nice To Haves

  • Fintech, lending, credit, or another regulated consumer domain experience, or evidence of designing well within hard constraints.
  • Experience designing for a multi-brand portfolio or standing up a second product alongside an existing one.
  • Advanced skills in motion design, prototyping, or front-end development to streamline handoff.
  • Having worked closely with an embedded UX researcher.

Responsibilities

  • Own a product space end-to-end, driving discovery through post-launch iteration with minimal supervision.
  • Decompose ambiguity into a sequenced plan of bets for the team to execute, ensuring alignment on problems before solutions.
  • Set the craft bar by making informed decisions about when work is 'good enough for now' versus 'needs to be right'.
  • Shape the product system by identifying and promoting patterns, and partnering on shipping new components and retiring old ones.
  • Apply the appropriate methodology (scrappy or thorough) based on the problem's context, especially within a regulated fintech environment.
  • Influence the product roadmap by connecting design choices to business strategy and identifying design-led opportunities.
  • Act as a trusted advisor cross-functionally, building alignment and preventing surprises.
  • Communicate complex work clearly through written narratives and presentations to peers and leadership.
  • Mentor mid-level designers by providing constructive feedback and fostering growth.
  • Improve team processes such as crits, kickoffs, retros, onboarding, and hiring.
  • Build leverage by creating documentation, frameworks, and processes that enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of other designers.

Benefits

  • 100% company-paid medical, dental, and vision coverage for you and your dependents from day one.
  • Up to $100 per month in fitness reimbursement or a complimentary full membership to LifeTime Fitness or Equinox.
  • 401(k) with a 3.5% match and immediate vesting.
  • Meal program for lunch and dinner.
  • Pre-tax benefits, including a $1,000 HSA match.
  • Life and accidental insurance.
  • Flexible PTO.
  • Access to bonus and equity programs.
  • Short & long term disability insurance.
