Senior Product Designer
About The Position
Allara is a comprehensive women’s health provider that specializes in expert, longitudinal care that supports women through every life stage. Trusted by over 60,000 women nationwide, Allara makes expert healthcare accessible by connecting patients with multidisciplinary care teams that have a deep understanding of hormonal, metabolic, and reproductive care. Allara provides ongoing support for hormonal conditions like PCOS, chronic conditions like insulin resistance, and life stages like perimenopause, helping patients see improved health outcomes. As one of the fastest-growing women’s health platforms in the U.S., Allara is bridging long-overlooked gaps in healthcare for women. We're looking for a Senior Product Designer to add dedicated design capacity across our patient platform. You'll own end-to-end craft for the core patient experience across both web and our mobile app. This role reports directly to the VP of Product.
Requirements
- 5+ years of product design experience with demonstrated impact on user experience and business outcomes
- Experience contributing to and working within a design system, ideally across more than one product surface
- Bachelor's degree in Design, HCI, Psychology, or related field (or equivalent professional experience)
- Strong proficiency in Figma
- Prototyping skills, creating interactive prototypes for user testing and stakeholder alignment
- Experience conducting user research, interviews, usability testing, surveys, and behavioral analysis
- Comfortable using data and user feedback to inform design decisions
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally with product, engineering, and clinical stakeholders
- Comfortable with ambiguity and a fast-moving, early-stage environment
Nice To Haves
- Experience mentoring junior designers a plus, though not required for this role
Responsibilities
- Design vision and strategy for the core patient experience (web + mobile app)
- Apply and help evolve our design system as it matures, working from shared patterns rather than defining them solo
- Partner day-to-day with product and engineering to ship high-quality, well-considered design on your surfaces
- Conduct user research as needed for your work — interviews, usability testing, and behavioral analysis
- Collaborate closely with our founding designer to keep the product experience cohesive across surfaces
