Senior Product Designer, Remitly Card

RemitlyArlington, VA
Hybrid

About The Position

Remitly is looking for a Senior Product Designer to be a key design voice for our card products. Card experiences carry real financial weight for customers, many of them building financial footing in a new country — onboarding, disclosures, funding, and everyday spend all demand clarity, dignity, and accuracy. In this role, you will drive strategic design work across defined parts of the card experience, from onboarding and activation through funding and account management. You will collaborate with Product Managers, Engineers, Researchers, and Writers to define customer problems and goals, using strong communication and influence skills to build alignment across the organization. You will take pride in setting the bar for craft, designing experiences that customers love while delivering meaningful business value. You will report to the GM, Remitly Card, and work in a hybrid capacity from our Arlington office.

Requirements

  • Strong portfolio showcasing thoughtfully designed, tested, and shipped experiences with depth and clarity.
  • Experience driving important product direction, setting goals, identifying opportunities, and making customer-centric decisions.
  • Experience designing and prototyping complex workflows with Figma, InVision, or similar tools; expert-level knowledge of Figma.
  • Experience or strong interest in regulated, high-trust product areas (e.g., financial services, fintech, or similarly compliance-sensitive domains), or equivalent experience.
  • 7+ years of product design experience.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the design process end to end: Lead discovery and concept ideation, flows and wireframes, full-fidelity prototype designs, and other interaction design deliverables for your projects.
  • Collaborate, influence, and negotiate: Partner with Product Managers, Engineers, Researchers, and Writers to define customer problems and goals within the card experience.
  • Design and ship world-class experiences: Advocate for design in the planning and development process. Create visually compelling interfaces that build emotional connections with users and communicate the brand. Champion cohesion and consistency across a growing family of card products.
  • Be the voice of the customer: Proactively bring empathy and user insights to teammates, especially given the regulated, high-trust nature of card, credit, and disclosure experiences.
  • Set the bar for craft: Take ownership of the more nuanced aspects of interaction design while contributing to larger strategic experience problems within the card domain.
