About The Position

Robinhood's Crypto team is responsible for the customer experience of crypto at Robinhood, encompassing everything from initial coin purchases to active trading and on-chain activities. This role focuses on owning the design strategy and execution for retail crypto trading and supporting on-chain experiences. The position involves a blend of creating new product categories and refining existing products for speed, clarity, and reliability. The Senior Product Designer will collaborate with engineering, product, compliance, and legal teams to shape the future vision of retail crypto at Robinhood. The design approach at Robinhood is AI-first, and this role requires active use of AI in the design process. The position is based in Menlo Park, CA and New York, NY, with a requirement of at least three days per week in the office to foster collaboration and innovation.

Requirements

Strong product design experience with complex, consumer-facing products, including end-to-end ownership.
Active use of AI in the design workflow.
Solid systems thinking, with the ability to balance detailed execution with a broader perspective.
Experience collaborating with engineering, product, research, legal, and compliance in a regulated environment.
A strong bias for action and the ability to navigate ambiguity.
Crypto curiosity: fluency and eagerness to learn about cryptocurrency is required, though deep expertise is not.

Responsibilities

Lead and execute the product design strategy for retail crypto experiences, balancing new initiatives with improvements to existing features.
Collaborate with engineering, product, design leadership, and legal/compliance partners from concept to launch.
Translate complex concepts into user-friendly and intuitive experiences for both new and experienced users.
Utilize AI to explore problem spaces, identify edge cases, and prototype rapidly, while ensuring quality and direction.
Maintain and elevate design quality standards within the crypto team.
