About The Position

Design and develop precision products and custom engineered assemblies from concept through production release. This hands-on role combines detailed mechanical design, engineering analysis, prototype evaluation, and collaboration with customers and manufacturing teams to deliver reliable solutions. The role is with a manufacturer of temperature sensors, compression seal fittings, and cable and harness assemblies, recruited for by BestLogic Staffing.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• Progressive experience designing mechanical products or precision engineered assemblies through production release.
• Proficiency with 3D CAD, detailed drawings, GD&T, tolerance analysis, and engineering change control.
• Strong understanding of materials, manufacturing methods, mechanical interfaces, and design verification.
• Ability to independently manage technical work, document decisions, and collaborate across functions.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with temperature sensors, compression seals, pressure or vacuum interfaces, and custom industrial products.
• Familiarity with simulation tools, design for manufacturability, and customer-facing technical discussions.

Responsibilities

• Translate customer requirements and application conditions into product specifications and detailed design concepts.
• Create and maintain 3D CAD models, production drawings, bills of materials, and design documentation.
• Perform engineering calculations, material selection, tolerance analysis, and design risk assessments.
• Design components and assemblies with appropriate consideration of temperature, pressure, sealing, interfaces, and manufacturability as applicable.
• Develop prototype and validation plans, evaluate test results, and refine designs to meet performance requirements.
• Lead or contribute to design reviews and resolve technical issues with engineering, manufacturing, quality, and suppliers.
• Support new product introduction, engineering changes, and troubleshooting of production or field performance concerns.
• Provide technical guidance to less experienced engineers and improve design practices and reusable engineering knowledge.
