About The Position

U.S. Financial Technology (U.S. FinTech) is seeking an experienced Senior Procurement Specialist to join their team. This is a full-time remote opportunity. U.S. FinTech operates the largest mortgage securitization platform, supporting the Uniform Mortgage-Backed Security (UMBS) of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. They provide services for a significant portion of the mortgage-backed securities market, offering best-in-class single-family issuance, bond administration, disclosure, and tax services. Their cloud-based platform executes transactions at scale, enhancing liquidity in the secondary mortgage market. The company combines expertise in financial services with technology innovation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or related work experience
  • A minimum of 6 years of experience in sourcing and procurement function.
  • Applicants must be authorized to work in the US without requiring employer sponsorship currently or in the future.
  • Knowledge of procurement management applications and their use.
  • In-depth knowledge of contractual techniques when changes in the requirements are required during the course of the contract.
  • Skilled in the use of Microsoft Office suite.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand technology documents as they relate to procurement activities and understanding requirements.
  • Ability to conduct effective negotiations for the most complex and difficult technology contracts
  • Orientation and focus towards providing quality and timely contract management and administration.
  • Orientation towards teamwork and collaboration
  • Proven ability to manage work tasks and projects effectively and in a timely manner using project management skills and tools, as applicable.
  • Demonstrated, strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven collaboration skills and an ability to work across the organization with a wide diversity of individuals and perspectives.
  • Ability to analyze data and summarize data for reporting, negotiation prep, extended cost calculations, etc.

Responsibilities

  • Provide effective, organization-wide strategic planning, sourcing, contracts negotiation, and purchasing of technology and non-technology professional services.
  • Forge new partnerships with top suppliers and build strong internal partnerships with divisional representatives.
  • Contribute to the centralization of Software/Hardware, professional services, and staff Augmentation procurement through the development of internal and external partnerships.
  • Forge highly collaborative relationships with other procurement team members to collectively increase the scope and impact of the team.
  • Establish frameworks for full lifecycle management of all Software/Hardware, professional services, and staff Augmentation contracts.
  • Foster highly aligned cross-functional partnerships across Security, Technology, Finance, and Legal teams integral to the delivery of procurement services.
  • Utilize subject matter expertise in the strategic acquisition of Software/Hardware, professional services, including contingent labor, consulting services for all internal partners.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge on services relevant to stakeholders.
  • Partner closely with several internal technology teams to assess hardware and software needs on various projects and initiatives.
  • Foster key supplier relationships to ensure they are responsive to the evolving needs of U.S. FinTech.
  • Solicit product and service proposals and conduct legal and commercial negotiations while complying with U.S. FinTech guidelines and procurement processes.
  • Ensure compliance with company supplier and license management guidelines and applicable government regulations important to purchasing practices.
  • Scout global markets for prospective suppliers, as well as develop and vet, qualified new suppliers.
  • Maintain accurate contracting data, supplier records, and transaction information.
  • Monitor supplier reliability and performance.
  • Negotiate and manage supplier agreements.
  • Identify supplier consolidation/centralization opportunities.
  • Service as a Data steward managing the following tools: NetSuite, Agiloft, and Fieldglass.
