Panthalassa is seeking an experienced procurement professional to join our supply chain team. You will be responsible for developing sourcing strategies, leading negotiations, and executing key procurement activities. In this role, you will build and manage supplier relationships to ensure performance aligns with our program milestones and business objectives. You will also serve as the primary architect of our centralized supplier repository and internal procurement workflows.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of procurement experience in a high-complexity manufacturing environment
  • In-depth understanding of procurement processes and supply chain management.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience.
  • Experience utilizing an ERP system to manage procurement workflows

Nice To Haves

  • Experience managing Engineering Change Orders (ECO) within a faced paced, high-mix R&D or production environment
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma principles in a supply chain context.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional Engineering departments to define specifications for procurement, evaluate supplier capabilities, and sourcing specialized components.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the preparation, issuance, and lifecycle management of purchase orders to ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
  • Coordinate with Engineering and Manufacturing teams to manage complex, multi-level Bills of Materials (BOMs), ensuring all components are sourced according to technical specifications and project timelines.
  • Perform rigorous Price and/or Cost Analysis to ensure competitive pricing
  • Create and maintain a centralized supplier repository inclusive of contract status and contact information
  • Identify and resolve material shortages, pricing discrepancies, and supply chain issues.
  • Drive active supplier engagement and performance monitoring to ensure all vendor deliverables meet critical program milestones and quality standards.
