Senior Procurement Associate
About The Position
Buyers manage procurement activities across assigned commodities, including sourcing, supplier negotiations, purchase order execution, contract support, and resolution of supplier or material issues. The role partners with the power generation business unit’s Planning, Engineering, and Operations teams, as well as suppliers, to understand requirements, maintain material availability, manage cost and commercial risk, and support fleet reliability. Buyers develop commodity and supplier knowledge, identify improvement and savings opportunities, and collaborate across the team to support changing business priorities. This role executes the Purchase Requisition to Purchase Order (PR to PO) process and manages order fulfillment. It leads Requests for Proposal (RFPs), negotiations, and purchase document execution; regularly interacts with suppliers to address common supply chain issues; supports team initiatives; and assists in collecting data for stakeholders.
Requirements
- High school graduate or GED.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- At least 2 years of experience.

Responsibilities
- Execute PR to PO processes and manage order fulfillment.

- Interact with suppliers and handle routine supplier questions.
- Engage with business unit stakeholders regarding needs and specifications.
- Address common supply chain issues and discrepancies.
- Analyze supplier performance on smaller-scale purchases.
- Manage sourcing, supplier negotiations, purchase order execution, contract support, and supplier or material issue resolution across assigned commodities.
- Partner with Planning, Engineering, Operations, and suppliers to understand requirements, maintain material availability, manage cost and commercial risk, and support fleet reliability.
- Identify improvement and savings opportunities and support team initiatives and stakeholder data collection.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
