About The Position

The IESO is committed to ensuring Ontario’s electricity system meets the province’s needs today and into the future. This role is within the Procure-to-Pay and Facilities Division in the Corporate Services Business Unit. As a Senior Procurement Analyst, you'll play a key role in supporting the delivery of procurement services that enable the IESO and its business units to achieve their objectives. Working closely with Procurement Specialists, management, and business stakeholders, you will contribute to procurement operations, contract administration, supplier management, reporting, market analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives. Requirements

  • Post-secondary education in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Commerce, Public Administration, Law, or a related discipline.
  • Progressive procurement and sourcing experience, preferably within a public-sector, broader public-sector, regulated, or highly governed environment.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting competitive procurement processes, including RFx development, evaluation facilitation, vendor selection, and contract execution.
  • Strong knowledge of procurement principles, contract administration, supplier relationship management, and sourcing best practices.
  • Experience preparing procurement metrics, reports, spend analysis, and other business reporting.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to assess risks, identify trends, and develop practical solutions.
  • Experience managing multiple priorities while delivering high-quality work within established timelines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to facilitate meetings and present recommendations.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build productive relationships across diverse stakeholder groups.

Nice To Haves

  • Professional procurement designation such as SCMP, SCMAO, CPPB, CPPO, or equivalent.
  • Experience supporting vendor-of-record (VOR) arrangements and second-stage competitions.
  • Familiarity with public-sector procurement directives and broader public-sector procurement requirements.
  • Experience supporting audits and compliance reviews for procurement governance.
  • Experience using procurement and enterprise systems such as Lawson, Oracle, or other procurement management platforms.
  • Experience conducting market research, supplier analysis, and developing spend analytics reports.
  • Experience developing procurement-related training, reporting, policies, or process improvements.

Responsibilities

  • Support procurement activities, including procurement documentation, evaluation coordination, contract administration, records management, and compliance with procurement policies and procedures.
  • Prepare and maintain procurement metrics, dashboards, spend analyses, and management reports to support decision-making, performance monitoring, and procurement governance initiatives.
  • Conduct market research, supplier analysis, and pricing reviews to support sourcing initiatives, procurement planning, and business case development.
  • Identify opportunities for standardization, aggregation, and consolidation of goods and services through spend analysis and stakeholder engagement, and provide recommendations for process and cost efficiencies.
  • Assist with contract management activities, including contract tracking, renewals, amendments, documentation management, audit support, and monitoring compliance with contractual requirements.
  • Support procurement modernization, continuous improvement initiatives, development of procurement tools and training materials, and advancement of strategic procurement objectives.
  • Support the evolution of procurement practices and strategic sourcing initiatives through reporting, spend analysis, contract administration, supplier management support, market research, and the identification of opportunities for process improvement, standardization, and consolidation across the organization.
