About The Position

DAn Solutions is seeking an experienced Senior Principal Systems Engineer to support enterprise desktop engineering and endpoint infrastructure for a government customer. The role focuses on engineering, deploying, securing, and maintaining Windows, Apple, and Linux desktop environments while ensuring compliance with established security standards. The position is onsite in Annapolis Junction, Maryland, or Sterling, Virginia, and requires an existing, active TS/SCI clearance with CI polygraph. No remote work is available.

Requirements

• Active TS/SCI clearance with CI polygraph.
• Bachelor's degree and at least six years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Compliance with DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification requirements.
• Extensive experience with Windows 10, Windows 11, and macOS endpoint environments.
• Strong knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, and SCCM.
• Experience deploying, configuring, and managing enterprise Windows systems.
• Scripting experience with Python, PowerShell, and Bash.
• Familiarity with VMware ESXi and vSphere.
• An accepted IAT Level II certification: Security+ CE, CND, SSCP, GSEC, GICSP, CySA+, or CCNA Security.
• Ability to work onsite in Annapolis Junction, MD, or Sterling, VA; remote work is not available.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement endpoint engineering strategies aligned with enterprise technology roadmaps.
• Maintain DISA-approved Windows installation media and Secure Host Baselines (SHB).
• Package, test, and deploy Windows and Microsoft Office security updates.
• Develop and maintain configuration guides and technical documentation.
• Design, test, deploy, and maintain Group Policy Objects (GPOs) through Microsoft Active Directory.
• Engineer and maintain desktop images, applications, and configuration updates.
• Deploy and update approved applications using the PowerShell App Deployment Toolkit (PSADT).
• Support secure desktop lifecycle management, compliance, and system improvements.
